19-Year-Old Destiny Quintanilla Killed in Wise, TX Accident

Impaired driver fatally strikes pedestrian

A tragic accident occurred on May 22 in Wise County, Texas, when 19-year-old Destiny Quintanilla was fatally struck by an alleged impaired driver on U.S. Highway 81/287. Around 9:30 p.m., a Jeep Grand Cherokee collided with two parked vehicles and Quintanilla, who was then rushed to Medical City Decatur but later died. The 58-year-old Jeep driver fled the scene but was caught and charged with intoxication manslaughter and failure to stop. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
