19-Year-Old Coble Hartman Killed In Hickory, NC Accident

Motorcycle accident on US Highway 70

Tragic accident that occurred on April 13 in Hickory, North Carolina. 19-year-old Coble Hartman was fatally injured when the motorcycle he was driving was struck by an alleged impaired driver on U.S. Highway 70. An eastbound Ford Escape attempted a left turn at 19th Street Drive Southeast and collided with the motorcycle. Hartman was rushed to a local hospital, where he sadly succumbed to his injuries. The 30-year-old woman driving the Ford was arrested and charged with felony death by motor vehicle, driving while impaired, and driving while license revoked after impaired revocation. Authorities also say speed is a suspected factor in the crash. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact investigators at 828-328-5551.
