The crash happened around 2:16 a.m. on Interstate 40 when the disabled vehicle, involved in a prior crash, was hit by a 2020 Freightliner truck during dark and stormy weather. Amador and the driver, Bryan Ordaz-Reyes, were pronounced dead at the scene.
